Questions Families Ask Before Booking

Do I need a fishing license?

No. The required fishing license is included with Celtic Quest open-boat trips.

What happens if it rains?

Trips may sail in light rain. The captain makes weather and safety decisions; call the office if conditions are uncertain.

Will I get seasick?

Long Island Sound is often calmer than the open ocean, but conditions vary. Eat lightly, stay hydrated and ask your doctor about motion-sickness options if you are concerned.

Are trips good for children?

Yes. Families and first-time anglers are welcome, and the crew helps with gear, bait, landing fish and fish cleaning.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable layers and non-slip shoes. Bring sun protection and a waterproof outer layer when rain or spray is possible.

Where do I park and check in?

Your booking confirmation identifies the departure port. Review the directions and arrive about 45 minutes before sailing.
