Very hard day out there today. Windy and very rough, 30 knots of wind. The shallow water drops were completely shut off as the water was very dirty from all the wave action. Landed around a dozen keepers before calling a day. Try again tomorrow.

Another very solid day today. Stayed somewhat local with the high westerly winds today. Had a great day with Mike Tuna and his gang from the Sportmans Club from Queens.

23 anglers ended up with 60 nice keepers with plenty of plumpies in the mix. Big Mike worked his magic with his fluke noodle rod and managed to edge out Johnny Mac with a 9 lb beauty. Mike Tuna ended up with 7 keepers, Mike with 8 keepers and Ed Santaigo with 7 keepers (orl).

Tog to 12.75 lbs today!!

Had a fun day out there with the Jfish charter and friends. Weather was great all morning and we were able to put a nice catch together. Once the current turned and the wind kicked up action slowed. Hit a few wrecks on the way home and picked a few more nice tog to end the day.

Finished up with 80 keepers, with plenty of 5 plus lb tog in the mix. The pool was won by Rob Crane with a Beautiful 12.75 slob tog!!!! Rob now takes the lead to wind the Rodwinder custom Rod!!

Another great day for sun tanning while tog fishing! Slow pick on a bunch of drops this morning. No great shakes. Ended the trip with a good drop and finished the day with 60 keepers. Pool was around 7.5lbs.

Hopefully this front coming through the next few days will get things going into full swing!

Beautiful day out there today. Flat clam all day long and blackfishing in t-shirts!

Picked away all day long. Nothing crazy but by days end 15 anglers finished up with 47 keepers up to 8.2 lbs. Capt James from the Rosie led the way with 13 keepers(orl) .

Weather was terrible out there today. Got beat up and were forced to fish off the beach once that wind picked up. We had some Big tog though! Mike Pennacchia had two beauties weighing at 10 lbs and 9.75. 13 fares managed to put 28 tog in the boat, several dozen porgies and lots of nice sea bass had to be released. Looking forward to calmer days!

Our charter this morning had a great trip, slaying the blues on the jigs and then catching nice big porgies (rsa permit) Excellent trip!

Wednesday, October 20,2010

Very good day today!! Over 100 keepers to 7 lbs. Lots of 5-6 lb tog in the mix. Many guys had their limit and then some (orl) Sunny and warm and not a breath of wind today. The jigs worked great today as well.

Tuesday, October 19, 2010

13 fares today, similar pick as yesterday. 28 keepers were landed up to 8 lbs. Anthony Desena Sr came back strong today making up for a somewhat lackluster performance on his last trip by winning the pool to go along with 5 other keepers (orl). 🙂

Monday, October 18, 2010

Put a respectable day together as 50 keepers up to 9 lbs were landed for 22 anglers. Bite was a little off though. We had to work for em a bit but were able to build up a bite on a few pieces. Big Mike was high hook with 8 keepers (only retaining limit). 10 year old Quinn won the pool with a 9lb beauty! Congrats Quinn on a great fish!!!

Sunday, October 17, 2010

Another very solid day today! Despite the very windy conditions we harvested over 60 plumb tog today. Pool fish was 8lbs and plenty of quality tog came over the rails.

The half day trips were also very good. Lots of blues on the jigs in the morning and a nice catch of porgies and blues on the afternoon!
