Fishing has been very hit and miss this week. Some trips have been very good and others very slow. We had some good action on sea bass, big porgies and blues on some of the deepwater drops and wrecks on a few trips. The shallow stuff is still spotty though on the porgies.
A few trips also saw some very good action on blues and short striped bass. This mornings 9am trip caught em real good on jigs!!
The best is coming when the big schools of cocktail blues are blitzing around Port Jeff Harbor and old field point. Hopefully thing will get more consistent now that this heat wave has finally broken a bit.
