Celtic Quest:
I was looking to get out for some summertime porgy and decided to hit the Celtic Quest, out of Port Jefferson for an evening of just that. We set sail at 4:45pm with Captain Paul at the helm and Alex, Joe, and Kevin working the deck. With 18 other fares on board we were all set for some action.
We hit the fishing grounds fairly quickly as we arrived in the Old Field area just outside of Port Jeff Harbor. As soon as we dropped the anchor on our first spot we had constant action. There were a few porgies but TON of small Sea Bass. We bounced around to a few other spots but they were mostly the same type of action, few Porgies but a TON of Sea Bass. I don
