Nice day today. Some big fluke were on order! We had a 6.5, 7.5, 7.9 and Frank Costanzos biggest fluke of his life, a 8.4 lbder! 24 fares had over 200 fluke on the day keeping 17. We finished the day up with a quick Bail job on the porgies with several fish near or over the 3 lb mark!

Capt Neil and his buddy Tommy both had huge porgies which weighed in at 3.4 lbs a piece! Now thats a porgie!!

Very good trip this morning. 8 fares enjoyed great action on the ebb as nearly 200 fluke were caught. On the slack tide we ran over some huge piles of porgies so we switched over and bailed jumbos up to 3 lbs! Switched back to fluke for the first of the incoming and put another mess of shorts and a few keepers in the boat. Kept 12 fluke to 5.5 lbs and released a ludicrous amount of 18-20 inch should be keepers. Artie the veteran was high hook with over 30 fluke, 3 keepers including the pool, plus a bucket of jumbos! The area is like an aquarium right now. Piles and piles of sandeels and bait where ever you go, blues and bass boiling all over the place, fluke galore, birds everywhere. Man I lover this time of the season!

Our Pm Porgie Special was awesome as well!! Big Porgies all night!!! Great trip!

It was a little tough out there today. Drift was flying all day well over a knot with all the wind. Made for extremely poor bucktailing conditions. ton of bait around and some nice fluke came over the rail but it was a challenge. 17 anglers had 80 fluke on the day with 18-20 keepers to 6.9 lbs. Fish were holding tight to one edge. The Desena boys led the way with 5 keepers between them including the pool! Anthony senior we missed you! Heal up soon! Though without you there was a lot more fish for your boys to catch! 🙂
pm trip was cancelled due to the weather.

First off and most importantly, let us all remember today about the tremendous sacrifice made for all of by our military, all our veterans and their families.

As we get to sit here and enjoy a days fishing where our biggest concern is that we have a bad drift with wind against tide or that god forbid fishing is a little slow on the day, thousands of brave men and woman have put their lives in harms way, living in constant danger and fear apart from their families so that we all may live in freedom.

To all our service men and woman, your families and our great veterans…THANK YOU!! we do not forget what you all have done for us!

Brief fishing report:

Awesome trip today on Capt Neils Charter. Took a little while to find them but once we did it was a great pick for the rest of the day. Finished up with 350-400 fluke, over 50 keepers! Excellent quality with plenty of fish in the 4-5 lb class, a few 6's, two over 7 lbs and largest over 8 lbs! A great day with a super bunch of guys! We will be sailing back to this area again on Tuesday's fluke special. Give a call if you would like to join us!

Capt Chris had a fantastic morning trip today with the porgies. the big jumbos were right he left them from the day before. Plenty of fish for everyone. They also had a few fluke and bluefish as well.

The mid day trip was slow as the scup were really scattered up with all the boat traffic. We had a couple dozen porgies and some fluke but no great shakes. The PM trip was decent as the porgies started to gather up again off the beach in the evening. Picked away all night. Here are pictures from yesterdays festivities!

Jumbo porgies on the fishfinder on the AM trip today!

Sailed on our East End Special today. Bite was little different today than during the week. The bait moved off the shoal a bit and the fish were hanging on the slope in a little deeper water. But nonetheless it was a steady pick all morning on the incoming tide. Worked the edge all day and put together a decent catch. The quality was excellent with several fish in the 5 lb class, 4 over 6lbs and 1 7lb pool winner. 175 fluke on the day, 32 keepers for 27 anglers. Lee was high hook with 18 fluke, 4 keepers (orl)

Capt Chris had a great day on the half day trips. Though fluking was slow, there was a huge pile of very large porgies on the slope where he was fluking. It was great fishing for all the kids and families with lots of jumbos coming up! Largest weighed in at over 3 lbs! The best porgie fishing of the year so far! Everyone went home with plenty of fish for dinner and most important the kids had a great time. Below are some pictures of the fishfinder showing the huge school of porgies frolicking on the bank!
