13 fares today, similar pick as yesterday. 28 keepers were landed up to 8 lbs. Anthony Desena Sr came back strong today making up for a somewhat lackluster performance on his last trip by winning the pool to go along with 5 other keepers (orl). :)

Long Island Fishing Report – Monday, October 18, 2010

Put a respectable day together as 50 keepers up to 9 lbs were landed for 22 anglers. Bite was a little off though. We had to work for em a bit but were able to build up a bite on a few pieces. Big Mike was high hook with 8 keepers (only retaining limit). 10 year old Quinn won the pool with a 9lb beauty! Congrats Quinn on a great fish!!!

Long Island Fishing Report – Sunday, October 17, 2010

Another very solid day today! Despite the very windy conditions we harvested over 60 plumb tog today. Pool fish was 8lbs and plenty of quality tog came over the rails. The half day trips were also very good. Lots of blues on the jigs in the morning and a nice catch of porgies and blues on the afternoon!

Great day today! 8 anglers LIMITED OUT on nice sized tog. Biting real good today. Johnny fish was high hook with 7 keepers. (only retaining limit) We are tied up for a few days with the weather. Hope to get out again on Sunday.

What a glorious day out there today! Picked away all day and by days end finished up with 50 tog to 8lbs as well as some porgies, sea bass and blues. Not as good as yesterday but still some real nice tog came over the rails. Just getting started!

Long Island Fishing Report – Sunday, October 10, 2010

Tog were nippin today!!! Good aggressive bite as we ended up with over 100 keepers to 8lbs! Joe Koo was on FIRE with 12 keepers. Another gentleman had 9 keepers. Long Island Fishing Report – Saturday, October 9 ,2010

Much better results today! The full day trip had around 25 keeper tog for 20 fares as the conditions allowed for much better anchoring. The 9am diamond jigging trip was RED HOT!!!! Bail job on the Blues many 10-12 lbs!!! Awesome trip! Our PM charter was an all our bonanza! Absolutely crushed giant blues and even had some keeper bass as well. Silly! The pm open boat was also great on the blues and they also had a few bass.

Very hard day out there today. 20-30 knots of west wind against the biggest incoming tide of the year!! oh my. not fun. Finished up with around 400-450 porgies, half dozen sea bass, 20 blues and 4 tog. Hard day with those conditions.

Long Island Fishing Report – Sunday, October 3, 2010

Some stretch of weather! We didnt sail all week for the most part. We did get out on Wednesday evening and had a good chunking trip with big blues to 12 lbs. We also managed to sail yesterday. The water was very very dirty and the shallow drops were slow due to the extremely dirty water and run off from the storm. We did manage 1 keeper black, dropped a few keepers at the surface and had about 10 shorts

We were blown out today with the weather. Tomorrow doesnt look too nice either. The weekend saw mixed results. A few trips had some excellent porgie fishing and a few trips were slow. Some nice fish around but it was inconsistent on the moon and especially once that east wind picked up. We also had some good jigging on a few trips with lots of blues up to 10 lbs. The bottom fishing has really heated up!! The past two days have seen some great fishing on the wrecks for Jumbo and Super jumbo porgies, sea bass and tons of blues! Great day today! Lots and lots of nice scup. Everyone went home with a ton of fish! Last night was very good as well. Very large scup were set up in the middle grounds and it was great action until sunset.
