Finished up with 130 porgies as well. Nice day The 9am trip saw a nice steady pick up medium to jumbo porgies in the deep water. A few sea bass also mixed in. Locally it is still been a little hit and miss with some trips doing quite well and porgies, sea bass and blues, with a few slow trips mixed in that saw only a few dozen porgies and sea bass landed. Best action has been at the middle grounds and some of the deep water drops. The full day trips have been excellent! Lots of fish to go around, limits not a problem! Long Island Fishing Report – Monday July 19th, 2010

We had fluke to over 8 lbs the past two days. tons of action on some trips but the keeper ratio was way down. Keepers were hard to come by. Yesterdays full day trip started off strong on the ebb but once the tide changed that was it for the day on the keepers. Similar results on the local trips. We are going to change our schedule from full day fluke only to Capt Choice Combo trips for Fluke/porgies/ bass

The morning fluke bite was awesome this morning first two drifts on the last of the ebb. Tons of bait, birds diving, fluke flying over the rails. It was shaping up to be some awesome day when sadly our trusty deckhand and friend to many here, young Kris aka fishfinder13, jumped to get a net off the roof, landed wrong and blew out his knee.. He was hurting very bad and we cut the trip short and headed home to

Here is a report from John, a customer who fished on this trip who posted this on Noreast.com: Hit the Celtic Quest yesterday with my wife Diane and a few Friends.
