Long Island Fishing Report – Friday, Sept 10, 2010

A good day all around today! Capt Jared reported back with great action diamond jigging in the Middle Grounds. Lots of blues, with some big slammers up to 10lbs! They finished the trip off with a few dozen nice porgies and headed home. Capt Chris reported back to say that porgie fishing was also very good today with plenty of nice scup coming over the rails. Several anglers had their limit and everyone caught well. Good days are ahead!

Long Island Fishing Report – Wednesday Sept 8, 2010

We were blown out through Saturday with the near miss from Hurricane Earl. We had some decent fishing at the middle grounds once we got back out there. We didnt do much jigging since the storm but bottom fishing remains solid with plenty of good catches when the tide was right. The 9am trip did much better with plenty of big scup at the middle grounds. We did not sail on any trips today.

Long Island Fishing Report – Wednesday, Sept 1, 2010

Monday evening was fantastic on the porgies!!! Tons of big fish and a full boat limit. THe full day trip yesterday was very good once that incoming tide set up. Long Island Fishing Report – Sunday Aug 30 , 2010

Put together a decent catch on the full day trip today. Tons of boats out there for the bluefish tournament made it a little difficult but we finished up by days end with a full boat limit of porgies as well as some sea bass and blues. We had 6 fares on our full day trip today. Fishing was slow in the morning as only a few dozen porgies, sea bass and blues were landed. Long Island Fishing Report – Monday, Aug 23, 2010

Blown out today due to the weather. Saturday fishing was very slow during the day as the conditions were terrible and limited where we could fish. The evening trip was great though as the winds subsided and we were able to get out to the middle grounds. Started off with a nice catch of very large porgies and then had some great action diamond jigging for striped bass and blues. Sunday am the jigging was good with plenty of blues.

Long Island Fishing Report – Friday, Aug 20, 2010

Fishing was awesome today on the 9am trip!!! Put some nice porgies in the boat to start the trip and then ran over a huge pile of blues! Bail job for rest of the trip. Kids had a blast! The full day trip had a steady catch of fish all day as 20 fares ended up with close to a limit of porgies, dozen sea bass and few dozen blues. Another solid day!

Long Island Fishing Report – Tuesday, Aug 17, 2010

Fishing was very good today. Full limitation of porgies to 3lbs and lots and lots of blues as well for 28 fares! Very good day! The 9am trip also had a decent catch of porgies before the tide eased, to go along with some seabass and blues to 10lbs. Fish are settling in very well now at the middle grounds, and the deep water wrecks. Good days are ahead!

Long Island Fishing Report – Monday, Aug 9, 2010

Great day today! The 9am trip saw an all out BAILJOB on the blues! Fish were everywhere! Great to see. We also finished up the trip with a few decent drifts on the porgies. The full day trip saw 10 anglers put 40-50 nice scup in the boat and several dozen big blues up to 12 lbs! Solid trip. Things are really starting to look good at the middle. Its that time of year!
