The fishing was on the slow side on the last two day trips with the insane amount of boat traffic for the wicc bluefish contest. The porgy bite continues to be very good though most trips at the middle grounds both day and evening. We have had some great drift fishing east of the light on very big porgies which should hold up from here on out. Today's charter of 4 kept 60 big scup to 2 lbs. Great fishing

Middle Ground Madness has arrived in full effect!! Today was an all out slaughter on the bass and blues. We started the trip on a deep wreck for a decent pick of Jumbo scup. Largest scup measured an impressive 17 inches long!! The blues soon showed up and shut down the bite so we decided to switch over. That is when the Bail began. We did not sail the last few trips with the lousy weather. Finally got out again last night for a Bail Job on Big Porgies! Many guys limited out on the big 1-2 lb oven stuffer roasters! The blue fishing has been tremendous in Smithtown Bay. Hopefully the great fishing will continue forever!

The last few days have ranged from excellent to very slow for no apparent reason. We have had some great shots of big blues in the middle with some bass, and cocktails inshore on the surface. Great day today. It was a bail job on the bass and big blues once the incoming tide set up. We had a few keeper bass in the mix, lots of shorts and all the blues you wanted. Many of the blues were good size 5- 10 lbs. We tried one quick drop on a wreck for sea bass and porgies. Only caught a few big scup before we decided to call it a day. The porgy fishing is really

Lots and lots of cocktail blues all over the surface on most days. Today we fished in Smithtown Bay as acres of blues were on the surface. The smaller diamond jigs have been the ticket as the blues are feeding on very small peanut bunker right now. Porgy fishing has been a little slow the last few days on the inshore grounds. Our best drops seem to be in the deeper water now where it has been quality over quantity.

All out slaughter of the blue fish today. Huge schools of blues were all along the beach from Mt Sinai to Smithtown Bay feasting on peanut bunker. Limited out by 8 am with several guys easily catching over 30 blues a piece of which of course they only retained their limit. The huge schools of bluefish was quite a sight to behold. Porgy fishing has definitely improved a lot this week with some quality fish now starting to show on the local rock piles. Had some good drops recently off both Cranes and Mt Sinai . Also the last few days there has been acres of cocktail blues on the surface off cedar beach. Bring your spinning pole if you have one as the casters especially are having a blast with all these fish. Today was incredibly rough which put a damper

Nice day with Tom Rock and friends today. Enjoyed some ferocious bass and bluefish action on jigs in the morning. Some real big blues to 10 lbs and a few keeper bass in the mix. Chunked one 18lb Striper on the slack. Finished the day with some decent fluke action off B11. Fun day!

Well, it was a remarkable fluke season, the best I can remember. So fun while it lasted. Wednesday was the last good day of fluking and it has been slow ever since. As of today we will be switching over to our Mixed Bag Bonanza trips!!! We have had some great results the last few days on both the bass and blues as well as BIG scup. This mornings trip saw all fares limit out on scup by 9:30! Last

The Fluke fishing was excellent on the outgoing tide this morning at b11. Our crew was out bass fishing today and reported incredible fishing with bass up to 33 lbs on chunks. We had a school trip today and missed it all! Anyway, we hope to keep up with these fluke for as long as we can. Also we are going to incorporate the bass fishing into our trips when the conditions are right! Mixed bag bonanza is here now

Today wasn't crazy fishing like it has been, but still it was a good days fluking at B11. About 50 keepers to 4 lbs, tons of shorts. Beautiful day out there.

We didnt know what to expect today after all the bad weather. Thankfully though, the fluke were still thick and hungry today. Great day out there! 10 fares aboard easily limited out on nice fat fluke up to 6.5 lbs. The fluke are still snappin'. Bucktails and straight spearing worked best.

Did not sail today with the lousy weather. The conditions were terrible in the morning yesterday with 2-4 foot chop on B11. Miserable. We were forced to get out of the wind a bit so we headed to Smithtown bay. uckily we were able to find a decent pick of fluke to hold us over until the wind laid down. The Fluke are still snappin' !!! Captain Andy just reported in from the evening trip: Over 100 keepers with the pool weighed in a 6.5 lbs. Captain Jack from the Prowler had an 8lbder today! Captain Chris on the day trip bailed the bass and blues in the morning and then finished up the trip with 20 nice fluke for 9 fares. Great day.
