Long Island Fishing Report – Wednesday, June 2, 2010

Very good trip this morning. 8 fares enjoyed great action on the ebb as nearly 200 fluke were caught. On the slack tide we ran over some huge piles of porgies so we switched over and bailed jumbos up to 3 lbs! Switched back to fluke for the first of the incoming and put another mess of shorts and a few keepers in the boat. Kept 12 fluke to 5.5 lbs and released a ludicrous amount of 18-20 inch should

Long Island Fishing Report – Tuesday, June 1, 2010

It was a little tough out there today. Drift was flying all day well over a knot with all the wind. Made for extremely poor bucktailing conditions. ton of bait around and some nice fluke came over the rail but it was a challenge. 17 anglers had 80 fluke on the day with 18-20 keepers to 6.9 lbs. Fish were holding tight to one edge. The Desena boys led the way with 5 keepers between them including the pool! Anthony

First off and most importantly, let us all remember today about the tremendous sacrifice made for all of by our military, all our veterans and their families. As we get to sit here and enjoy a days fishing where our biggest concern is that we have a bad drift with wind against tide or that god forbid fishing is a little slow on the day, thousands of brave men and woman have put their lives in harms way, living in

Long Island Fishing Report – Saturday, May 29, 2010

Sailed on our East End Special today. Bite was little different today than during the week. The bait moved off the shoal a bit and the fish were hanging on the slope in a little deeper water. But nonetheless it was a steady pick all morning on the incoming tide. Worked the edge all day and put together a decent catch. The quality was excellent with several fish in the 5 lb class, 4 over 6lbs and 1 7lb pool

Very bad conditions today but we were able to put together a good catch. Lousy east wind, snotty conditions and outgoing tide against the wind is not your ideal situation when planning a great fluke trip. Nonetheless the gang from noreast.com hung in there and we found a good body of fluke to work on late morning. Ended up with 150 fluke, 30 keepers to 6 lbs. Not a bad day at all! Fluke are here!! Headed back out for

No sail today with the weather. Yesterday was a very solid day all around. The morning bite was slow where we have been catching well. We picked a few fluke here and there and waited for the tide to turn to see if the bite would pick up but it never did. Looked around a bit and Capt Amanda gave us a call and put us onto a nice body of fluke for the rest of the day. Finished up

Despite the poor drift we put some nice fluke in the boat with a few guys limiting out. We had to power drift most of the morning and picked at the fish. The last half hour of the trip we finally started to get a drift and the bite was decent the last few drifts. Finished up with 50 fluke, 15 keepers. Some big fish in the mix as well. We have a new leader in the largest fluke of
